In 2008 Joseph Parsons will release his 10th CD. Made between Philadelphia and Paris, Parsons brought on a completely different production team. Devin Greenwood (Norah Jones, Amos Lee, Denison Witmer) produced the CD. Parsons says, “I had gone as far as I could go in terms of producing my own records. After ‘The Vagabond Tales, & ‘The Fleury Sessions’ I realized I could not make this new record by myself and needed some real production talent. I wanted to make a deeper, more vulnerable record so I brought Devin in to help me reach the vision I had for these new songs. As artists, we are sometimes too close to the song to let it speak for itself. Devin did an amazing job of hearing the bare songs and then sculpting them to bring out the essence. I am extremely happy with the outcome.”
